DeaR BLACK FOLKS CAMPAIGN - 2024

About the Project

BEAM’s "Dear Black Folks" initiative is an art and affirmation campaign designed to disrupt public space. For the second year these loving messages challenge stigmatizing narratives and affirm Black people's wellbeing by reminding them #YouBelongHere.

Project Goal: Deliver positive affirmations to Black people across the country through public billboards and then document the BEAM team and the public’s reactions to those affirmations.

Role: Creative Project Manager, Media Buyer, Videographer - I led a creative team of a graphic designer, photographers, videographers and editors to create multiple assets - ie billboards, social media videos, photos, posters and reports, etc. I also shot all of the NYC video footage and I negotiated with the media company to target Black neighborhoods across the country.

Cities: Brooklyn NY Harlem, NYLos Angeles, CA Atlanta, GA Oakland, CA
